SOUTH KINGSTOWN – With what seems like a yoga studio on every corner in South Kingstown, it may seem difficult to choose which school to go to, but the town's Parks and Recreation Neighborhood Guild has helped make the choice a lot easier by offering its own yoga studio, the Yoga School of South County, 1058 Kingstown Road in Peace Dale.
There is a new person in command of the Coventry Police Department, well starting Friday.
After just three years as chief, Col. Ronald DaSilva, chief of the Coventry Police Department has decided to retire.
DaSilva said that although he was chief for only three years, he does have 22 and a half years invested in the department and that “it’s time for a change.”
The Town Council allowed the East Greenwich Little League to build a set of lights, and night baseball will come to Cragan Field this spring.
Girl Scouts from East Greenwich Troop 1380 and North Kingstown Troop 111 recently held a “dress down day” at Our Lady of Mercy School, East Greenwich, to benefit Project Undercover. Over 9,000 pieces of socks, underwear and diapers were collected and donated to the West Bay Community Action program in Warwick.
