Dugway Bridge reopens today

SOUTH KINGSTOWN – West Kingston residents can now rejoice. The north and south sides of the Dugway Bridge are reunited after the bridge reopened yesterday at 4 p.m.

Town Manager Stephen Alfred said Monday night the bridge is open to use by vehicles and small trucks.

Pawuxet Rangers bring living history to Hope Valley

December 13, 2011

HOPE VALLEY - Third and fourth graders from Hope Valley Elementary School were transported out of the classroom and all the way back to the revolutionary battlefield on Friday, Dec. 2, when members of the Pawtuxet Rangers, a local militia that protected the Rhode Island coastline during the American Revolutionary War, paid them a spirited visit.

WTW concerned about sythetic pot

NORTH KINGSTOWN – There’s another product on the market that parents should be concerned about. Even though marijuana isn’t legal, synthetic marijuana is and it’s sold at stores near you.
Teens and young adults are using these products to get high. Other names include potpourri, herbal buds, Spice, Skunk, Blaze and Nitro.
