Council requests repeal of tour tax

NARRAGANSETT—The town council voted unanimously on Monday evening to request a repeal of the state tax on tour operations. The Rhode Island General Assembly passed the law for the upcoming 2012 fiscal year budget, and applies a sales tax upon local businesses who operate tour vehicles in the state.

Tickled Pink features superior consignment shopping, selling (Business Feature)

WYOMING - Back when consignment shopping became the trendy thing to do, I jumped on the bandwagon with everyone else. But I noticed that, over time, most stores raised their prices to the point where it made more sense to just go shopping at a regular store and spend a couple more dollars to get brand new items. I noticed the clothing available in consignment shops becoming outdated and, unless you were an average medium size, the odds were slim that you were going to find anything to fit you. However, I’ve recently reclaimed my love of consignment shopping and it’s all because of a little place called “Tickled Pink” on Main Street in Wyoming.
