SK supports pension reform

SOUTH KINGSTOWN – Knowing that without pension reform, South Kingstown faces an unfunded liability of $19.7 million for its municipal employee retirement system, the Town Council supports pension reform and last week's amendments to the state pension bill.

Tourism Council sets up shop in Connecticut

In an effort to distribute South County-related tourism materials, the South County Tourism Council (SCTC) has acquired space at the Pilot Travel Center at Exit 93 off Route 95 in Connecticut. The move was a direct result of the closing of the Rhode Island Welcome Center.
