Klotz violates bail; conditions reset

NARRAGANSETT—Matthew Klotz, 27, of 33 Hopkins St., Stonington, Connecticut, violated the bail conditions set on Monday after he had been arraigned in Fourth District court for kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon, and carrying a dangerous weapon while committing a crime of violence. Klotz failed to make initial contact with pretrial services to engage with bail supervision, and was in Fourth District court on Wednesday for a hearing on his newly set bail conditions because of the violation.

Rosbottom wins Chamber award

The presentation was given during the Chamber’s annual dinner at Spain’s Restaurant, and Rosbottom’s nomination was met with great applause.
