WESTERLY -- South County Habitat for Humanity has announced that it is seeking applicants for an existing two-bedroom Habitat unit in a duplex.
SOUTH KINGSTOWN/NARRAGANSETT – As snow and sleet hailed down on Rhode Island Tuesday morning, travel slowed and cars slipped, causing 19 motor vehicle accidents in South Kingstown and four in Narragansett. There were no serious injuries.
The four Narragansett accidents occurred in the center of the town according to police, near Mumford Road, Highland Avenue and South Pier Road.
NARRAGANSETT—For four straight weeks Rhode Islanders have seen their gas prices increase at the pump. Average retail gasoline prices in Rhode Island have risen 0.9 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.19 per gallon yesterday. This compares with the national average that has increased 0.9 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.07 per gallon, according to gasoline price website RhodeIslandGasPrices.com.
