CHARLESTOWN -- The Whalerock wind power project, which was proposed to be a partnership with the town, looks like it could be moving in another direction.
SOUTH KINGSTOWN–A small but strong group on URI's campus is working to solidify the tenuous link between students and their natural environment. This week URI's Student Action for Sustainability is hosting an art contest with a theme entitled "Forests in the Fall." Heather Lewis, a biology major, and the current president of the five-year old group said, "We are hoping to raise awareness about the URI North Woods and why it is important to this university."
