New assistant principal takes the helm at Prout

WAKEFIELD - A new assistant principal, David Flaherty, is joining The Prout School this year.

Education is the family business for Flaherty and he is continuing the tradition.

Flaherty said his parents were both professors. His father worked at Providence College, which Flaherty attended, and his mother worked at the University of Rhode Island. He said he also has several aunts and uncles in education, in addition to two of his sisters. His wife is also a guidance counselor at East Greenwich High School.
