DEM: no dust violations at Copar Quarries

WESTERLY – No dust violations have been found at Copar Quarries by the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management since the agency began investigating complaints lodged against the company since August 2011, the state agency said in a letter last week.

Beach lot cleanup, restoration underway

NARRAGANSETT - Beach parking lot clean-up and restoration efforts commenced on Monday morning as workers from the Narragansett Department of Public Works began removing asphalt and debris from the sand mounds piled high in town beach parking lots.
