Costa recovering after emergency surgery scare

NORTH KINGSTOWN – Doreen Costa is the local version of the modern woman’s Energizer Bunny, always on the move.
But the Republican state representative who serves North Kingstown and Exeter in the state General Assembly was stopped in her tracks by acute pain on Aug. 2. Today she’s still recovering – and very grateful – after a hasty trip to the hospital resulted in emergency surgery and a cancer scare.

NORTH KINGSTOWN – It’s been 60 years and they’re all older, wiser and have learned not to take things too seriously.
North Kingstown High School’s Class of 1952 gathered together for their annual reunion at Richard’s Restaurant and Pub Monday afternoon and classmates took the afternoon to relax, enjoy lunch and joked about days gone by.

Katerina Tarbox gets an order of muscles, no fat

WARWICK – Katerina Tarbox is a woman who, when she walks among the equipment at Gold’s Gym, draws admiring stares.
Why not? She’s earned them.
At 47, she is a champion bodybuilder and last month won her pro card from the International Federation of Bodybuilding (IFBB) at the Masters Nationals in Pittsburgh.
With not an ounce of fat visible anywhere, the wife of North Kingstown automotive-sales magnate Ed Tarbox and mom of two boys, keeps to a strict diet and workout regimen.
