NARRAGANSETT—The stories of how walkers and bikers have come to the MS Society’s 23rd annual Walk MS are varied, but the intent remains steadfast: to raise funds and public awareness for research which will someday lead to a cure for multiple sclerosis.
“This is a great experience, from start to finish,” said Narragansett resident Chuck Carberry. “Last year, we did the walk and I have been training for this year’s 150 mile bike race with my wife. It is a great opportunity.”

In today's paper, the Narragansett Engineering Office plans to study the sewer system in Narragansett along Congdon Street. The effort is an attempt to minimize water overflow at the Congdon Street Pump Station.

I’m going to be watching the House and Senate Finance committee hearings to see if any more money is being funneled into the ACI kitchen budget. I figure that, at the rate senators and representatives are running afoul of the law these days, legislators are going to have a vested interest in improving the quality of prison food.
