Sosnowski introduces good time bill for second round

SOUTH KINGTOWN – For a second time, the Senate Judiciary Committee will hear a bill to revise the good time law, prohibiting people for committing certain crimes from earning time off for good behavior.

Vecchio resigns from Chariho School Committee

WOOD RIVER JUNCTION - Richard Vecchio, formerly of the Chariho School Committee, has resigned. In a letter sent to the Hopkinton Town Council last week, Vecchio outlined his reasons for his decision.

Rams need overtime to lose to St. Bonaventure

KINGSTON – There is still something left to play for.
The losses have piled up all season and have come in different fashions. There have been blowouts, there’s been tough overtime losses and games where the University of Rhode Island men’s basketball team just didn’t deserve to win.
Wednesday the Rams didn’t necessarily deserve a victory; they were outrebounded and gave up a 10-point first-half lead, and with a shot to win came up with no legit looks at the basket to end the game there.
