It’s going to be a while before things are back to being normal in South County.
Today they get one small step closer.
There was still plenty of damage, not a lot of power and schools were still closed, but the area’s sports teams are returning to the field today after days of wondering when games would be played next.
Today three area teams play playoff games. In girls soccer, Narragansett plays at Westerly in the Division II preliminaries and Prout hosts Mount Hope in the D-I playoffs. The Narragansett girls volleyball team opens the Division II playoffs at Barrington.
