WARWICK â Anne Holst remembers growing up at Clouds Hill Farm, in the Cowesett area in a Victorian home â passed down through generations of women â as a place where goats roamed, hay was cut and her mother, the legendary Nancy Allen Holst, kept a donkey which she rode to the neighborâs each morning for coffee.

NORTH KINGSTOWN â If all goes according to plan, the massive pine in Updike Park that has served as the town Christmas tree for many years will make its final appearance in the spotlight this holiday season.
And, in the evergreen equivalent of âAll About Eveâ, a gorgeous ingĂ©nue is waiting in the wings.
âWe have been talking about trying to put a better tree in Updike Park,â says public works director Phil Bergeron. The old tree has become âvery tall, thinned outâ to the point that the entire thing âcanât be lit.â

NORTH KINGSTOWNâThe Town Council unanimously approved the Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) design project for construction of a new rotary at the intersection of Routes 2 and 102 in North Kingstown. Deemed a high-hazard intersection under the RIDOT Highway Safety Improvement Program, the intersection was chosen by the state as a priority project.

A former Narragansett resident who robbed four elderly women in three towns, including North Kingstown, two years ago was sentenced to 35 years, with 20 to serve and the remainder suspended with probation, last week by Superior Court Justice Melanie W. Thunberg.

Decision making can be very difficult for people. There is so much information you need to take into consideration when you know that your choice will be affecting an outcome. That is a lot of power.
We are so very fortunate to have the freedom of choice.
Many years ago I was privileged to be associated with a company that felt it important to work closely with their associates. The idea of partnering together for common goals resonated throughout the business. We were goal orientated, and best of all we were decision makers together.

NORTH KINGSTOWN â The Quonset Officerâs Club was the setting for the start of this yearâs annual Steven Siller Tunnel to Towers Memorial 5K Run.
Although in its infancy in itâs second year in Rhode Island, the race saw some of the areaâs top runners come out for a morning run on the fast and flat course through Quonset.
North Kingstown residents, Robert and Michael Wilkinson took the top two spots overall and in age division with times of 17:09 and 17:32 respectively.

NORTH KINGSTOWN â An ex-con, unlicensed tow truck driver suspected of stealing cars. An astonishing high-speed chase through the streets and onto the sidewalks of Providence and North Providence, ending with the fugitive slamming the truck into his own residence and mistakenly trying to hide in the backyard of an off-duty cop who grabbed him and held on.
Five injured law enforcement officers and numerous smashed police vehicles. A flurry of gunfire resulting in the suspectâs sister receiving a flesh wound.
