Vespia named to first RI Criminal Justice Hall of Fame tonight

SOUTH KINGSTOWN – After serving as a Rhode Island State Trooper for 21 years, leading investigations in the arrest of crime boss Raymond Patrairca and solving a 1970s murder by five former Coventry Police officers, South Kingstown Police Chief Vincent Vespia, Jr. was inducted into the inaugural Rhode Island Criminal Justice Hall of Fame last night at the Crowne Plaza in Warwick.

After much discussion Monday night, the Charlestown Town Council voted to not create a committee to examine the town's tax exemption program because they could not decide who should be on the ad hoc committee.
