PROVIDENCE – There was some doubt to whether the West Warwick Wizards were even going to qualify for the R.I. State Basketball Tournament after their loss to Westerly in the Division II playoffs.
But a Barrington Eagles loss to Rogers in those same Division II playoffs opened up the door for the Wizards to get invited to the party and last night they took advantage.
Playing as the No. 13 seed, West Warwick advanced in the tournament with a 71-64 win over the No. 4 seed cross-town rival Coventry Oakers.

Spring break is a time students around the country look forward to but, for one small group of youngsters from St. Paul's Episcopal Church in North Kingstown, this year, Spring Break meant more than time off school and hanging out with friends.
For 19 young churchgoers, this year's Spring Break meant a chance to do some good for others as St. Paul's put on a trip to New Orleans to show their members the devastation left by Hurricane Katrina first-hand.
