SOUTH KINGSTOWN – Classrooms are leaving behind the dust clapped off chalkboard erasers and moving toward virtual desktops and N-computing. However, library media specialist at Peace Dale Elementary Martha Badigian said technology in the classroom is just another tool for educating students and does not replace the traditional paper and pencil.

SOUTH KINGSTOWN – It’s round three in the fight for a fifth Class A liquor license in town.
Last Tuesday, Dec. 6, the owner of Village Liquors, a proposed 1,742 square foot wine boutique at South County Commons petitioned the state Department of Business Regulation liquor administrator for relief from its denial of a Class A liquor license. John Pagliarini, attorney and husband for the wine shop owner Susan Pagliarini of East Greenwich cited indiscretion, improper amendment procedures and notification.

CHARLESTOWN - Sandi Puchalski’s life changed forever during the Christmas season of 2007.
The Charlestown resident first felt a cancerous tumor inside her when her horse, Ms. Jazzie, pushed her up against a barn wall. She had found the life threatening mass in time, and was able to win a fight against the deadly disease.
