SOUTH KINGSTOWN â€“ As 2011 approaches, it's time to make up for the past by making a New Year Resolution and hoping that, over the next 12 months, you will follow it through.
Members of the South Kingstown Town Council and School Committee are no different.
WAKEFIELD â€“ Although bookstore locals will lament the loss of Waldenbooks, which will close Jan. 22 after 31 years of service at the Wakefield Mall, they can breathe a sigh of relief as Wakefield Books will likely take its place.
Waldenbooks began its closing store sale after its employees were notified of the closing. Borders, the company that owns Waldenbooks, did not renew the storeâ€™s lease at the mall.
As the bookstore, known for its customer-friendly employees, featured huge sales just before the holidays, some customers were saddened by the news of its closing.
