Westerly man arrested for child pornography possession

WESTERLY -- A 31-year-old man was arrested Thursday morning in a sting by state police for possession of child pornography.

Council meets with state legislators to discuss transportation, environment

SOUTH KINGSTOWN – The South Kingstown Town Council met with the local state legislators Wednesday night, Dec. 8 during a work session meeting to discuss municipal issues related to the state, specifically concerning the state departments of transportation and environmental management.
From the General Assembly, representatives Michael Rice, Donald Lally, Jr., Donna Walsh, representatives elect Teresa Tanzi and Spencer Dickinson and Senator Sue Sosnowski attended the meeting with the town council.

EXETER – The Clark and Case families, who were searching together for the perfect Christmas tree, found it in only 10 minutes – a record – and it was a beauty.
Perfectly formed into a point that was just the right height, it was full, round and cone-shaped without a single bare spot. Just what the doctor – or Santa – ordered.
Tim Case earned credit for spotting the balsam fir and his friend, Shane Clark, gave it final approval because, he said, “I’m very picky.”
