Give the URI football team credit - when they won this season, the did it in style.
The Rams finished off one of the best seasons in the last 20 years, beating rival UMass 37-34 after Steve Probst found Brandon Johnson-Farrell in the end zone with 1:10 left to play.
URI finished the season 5-6, 4-4 in CAA play but did beat three top 25 teams this season.

CHARLESTOWN – It's truly a testament to the fundamental definition of “community” when so many people come together for a common cause. And there are few greater examples than what occurred at the Cove Restaurant in a little more than a month's time.
Town Council accepted a $3,500 grant from the Friends of Canonchet Farm. Thomas Fourtier, President of the organization, recently wrote a letter and submitted the grant proposal to the town in order to conduct a wetland survey of the Canonchet Farm property.
After a couple weeks of confusion, the site for next Thursday's Thanksgiving Day battle between South Kingstown and North Kingstown has been finalized and left some feeling a bit disappointed.
The game - originally scheduled to be played at NK High School, then switched back to URI's Meade Stadium, the game's host the previous five season - will be played on Thanksgiving at North Kingstown High School at 10 a.m. according to NK Athletic Director James Marcello, who told SRIN Sports on Friday morning. North Kingstown was serving as the home team regardless of the site of the game.
