Exeter-West Greenwick's Kara Shaw scored with 7:57 left to play, giving the Knights' a 2-1 win over Lincoln in the Division II Girls Soccer Championship Match.
The title is the first in EWG girls soccer history.
EWG trailed Lincoln - Division II's top defensive team - 1-0 after a goal early in the first half and went into halftime down by the same score.
Six minutes into the second, the Knights' Cara Caliri put one in the back of the net to tie things at one.
The East Greenwich girls soccer team handled every team in the state this season, and the one it couldn't beat the Avengers in Sunday's D-I final.
After playing 77 minutes of scoreless soccer, La Salle's MacKenzie Meehan scored on a header with 2:46 left in the match, giving the Rams a 1-0 win over East Greenwich in the D-I final.
It's the fourth straight season the Avengers had their season ended at the hands of La Salle.
